Guatai Mountain is located in Weinan Town, Tianshui City. According to legend, it is the place where Fuxi's family looked up at the sky and looked down at the earth, and began to draw eight trigrams. There is still a hexagram painting platform on the mountain. Climbing to the top of Guatai Mountain and overlooking Sanyangchuan, you will find that the Weihe River bends into an "S" shape from east to west, dividing the oval Sanyangchuan Basin into two, forming a map.

There are beautiful mountains and gurgling streams here. There is a big stone that looks like a bamboo shoot and a painting brush, called the distracting stone. What has a sense of mystery is Longma Mountain across the river from Huaguatai. Whenever the clouds cover and the fog locks, the Longma Cave on the mountain flickers, giving people the feeling of being haunted by dragons and horses.

According to legend, Fuxi spent all day thinking and thinking hard to create gossip, but he still couldn't figure it out. One day, in the depths of the cloud and mist in the opposite cave, a dragon horse with vibrating wings soared into the sky, matching the distracting stone in the Weihe River. The Eight Diagrams characters of eight natural phenomena, earth, water, fire, mountain, thunder, wind, and Ze.

The top of Guatai Mountain is spacious and flat. There are Fuxi temple, Meridian gate, archway, bell tower, ancient building, theater building, court room, etc. There is a wooden carving "Fuxi's sixty-four hexagrams and twenty-eight mansions" with a diameter of 64 cm and a thickness of about 10 cm, which is quite precious.
