The Guizhou Provincial Museum is located opposite the Guiyang International Convention and Exhibition Center. Its collections include human fossils from the Paleolithic Age, the masterpieces of the Yelang Bronze Culture, including Wuhu Ge and Ge Fan in the Warring States Period, iron swords with copper handles and inner molds for sword stems, and lacquer unearthed from Han tombs in western Guizhou. A large number of precious cultural relics such as ear cups are a good place to learn about Guizhou's history and culture.

The cultural relics displayed by the Guizhou Museum are mainly divided into three categories: prehistoric cultural relics specimens, historical cultural relics, and ethnic cultural relics. The basic displays include "Guizhou Mineral Resources", "Guizhou Natural Resources", "Farmers' Uprising Struggles of All Ethnic Groups in Guizhou During the Taiping Heavenly Kingdom", " The Revolutionary Activities of the Chinese Workers' and Peasants' Red Army in Guizhou", "Relics Unearthed in Guizhou", etc.

In the museum, you can not only see specimens of prehistoric cultural relics such as Guizhou dragon fossils, sea dragon fossils, ichthyosaur fossils, and crinoid fossils, but also bronze chariots and horses unearthed in the province, large copper kettles with braided ears, Shizhaishan bronze drums, Ancient precious cultural relics such as bronze drum, iron sword with bronze handle, gilt bronze handle, one-character sword, golden crown of Ming Dynasty, glazed pottery figurines, etc.

Ethnic cultural relics are the focus of the display. In addition to more than 1,000 pieces of embroidery, batik, cross-stitching, brocade, and silver ornaments, typical collections include Miao marriage record wood, Miao carved animal pattern wine corner, Miao blue satin inlaid with lace and silver bells and silver ornaments. The clothes for falling women, the eight hanging dragon robes of the chieftain of the Yi nationality, the manuscript of the "Liuzu Jilue" in Yi language, and the "Bronze Drum" stone carvings of the Shui nationality tombs are of great ornamental value.
