The original Lingtai sits north to south, and the body of the platform is rammed with earth. In history, Lingtai was destroyed twice and rebuilt twice. The Lingtai was rebuilt in 1933, with green bricks all over the surface, 12.3 meters wide at the bottom and 12.3 meters high. Legend has it that when it was completed, two red-crowned cranes flew from the east, flew around the platform for three consecutive days, and perched on the ancient cypresses of Wenwang Temple. It caused a sensation in the county and was regarded as an auspicious sign.

The current Lingtai faces south, with a bottom width of 18 meters and a height of 33 meters. The platform is divided into three floors. There is a statue of King Wen of Zhou in the main hall on the top floor, and large murals are painted on the walls on both sides, which reproduces the magnificent scene of King Wen's attack on Mi. More than 260 pictures. Lingtai has a long history and profound culture, and is known as "the first platform for offering sacrifices to spirits in China".

Lingtai County got its name because of this, and is famous as a "big cultural relic county" with Shang and Zhou cultural relics as the main body, and was named "historical and cultural city" by Gansu Province.
