Guoyu Village is located in Beiliu Town, Yangcheng County, and was built in the Tang Dynasty. There are 40 existing Ming Dynasty dwellings. The honeycomb city wall built in the eleventh year of Ming Chongzhen is 20 meters high, 5 meters wide and 1,400 meters long. The Tangdi Temple built in the Yuan Dynasty still has a 20-meter-high angled stage and a rare nine-bay hall.
Guoyu Village has had a prosperous economy and a prosperous literary style since ancient times. From Tang to Qing Dynasty, there were more than 80 people in the village who obtained meritorious service. Especially in the Ming and Qing dynasties, including the Chen family, this small village produced a total of 15 Jinshi and 18 Juren, and there was also a family of imperial examinations with four Jinshi and officials who served as servants. In the 11th year of Ming Chongzhen, that is, five years after the Chen family built the "Douzhuju", in order to resist the intrusion of bandits, several families with surnames in Guoyu Village jointly built Guoyu City. It started on the 17th day of the first month of the year and was completed in October of the same year. , the city wall is 12 meters high, the city circumference is 1,400 meters, and the city covers an area of nearly 180,000 square meters. There are three east, north and west gates and one water gate. On the city wall of Guoyu City, there are more than 600 cave dwellings on three floors, which have both residential and defensive functions. Therefore, Guoyu City Wall is also vividly called "Honeycomb City Wall".
