Guyuan Grassland is located in Guyuan County, 180 kilometers northeast of Zhangjiakou, and borders the Inner Mongolia Grassland in the north. The main attractions are Jinlian Mountain Villa, which is 50 kilometers away from Guyuan County and 230 kilometers away from Zhangjiakou. With an altitude of 1,800 meters and a total area of 60,000 mu, the villa is a natural wild botanical garden outside the Great Wall. In summer, bees fly and butterflies dance, springs rush and the scenery is infinite. Gushui Fuyuan Resort is located 5 kilometers east of Guyuan County, covering an area of more than 30,000 mu, of which the water surface area is more than 12,000 mu. The vast lakes in the area, the rugged and winding Tanshan Mountains, and the endless natural grasslands, the infinite scenery has attracted emperors, generals, literati and poets of all dynasties to visit and watch. In the scenic area, there are complete tree burial buildings and a large number of ruins of the imperial palaces of the Liao, Jin and Yuan Dynasties. Along Luanchi Road to Houcheng Village, you can see the huge "Red Cliff" on the right. The so-called Chibi is the famous Dishui Cliff, which is known as "the first peak of Youyan" and "the first stone in the world". Under the sky, the crimson mountain is very distinctive, like a huge piece of sliced bread standing on the plain. Because the rocks here are rich in iron, the mountain is crimson, and it is called Chibi by the locals. Here, Fengning Bashang and Weichang Zhangbei Bashang form a three-legged confrontation, that is, from here, you can enjoy the grassland scenery in Saibei. The altitude of Laozhanggou Forest Farm is about 1,400 meters, and the mountainous area of Houcheng is about 800 meters above sea level. There is a large temperature difference between day and night, so keep warm at night.
