Hailongtun is the first and only world cultural heritage in Guizhou. It is located on Longyan Mountain, 20 kilometers northwest of Zunyi City. In 2015, it was successfully listed as one of the three chieftain sites in China. In the same year, it won the title of "Top Ten Archaeological Discoveries in the World" and was praised as "China's Machu Picchu" by archaeological experts. It was built 200 years earlier than Machu Picchu.
Hailongtun chieftain site combines mysterious Fengshui and military defense system. It is an important relic of Yang's chieftain family's rule of ancient Bozhou for 725 years. It is also a well-preserved medieval military castle site in China and even Asia today.
There are Tongzhu Pass, Tiezhu Pass, Feihu Pass, Feilong Pass, Feifeng Pass and Chaotian Pass in front of the village, and Wan'an Pass, Toudao Pass and Erdao Pass in the back of the station. The military barriers are connected by protective walls between each pass, stretching for more than ten miles along with the mountain. There are still sites such as the old palace, the new palace, the general management office, the treasury, the barracks, the school yard, the gunpowder storehouse, and the embroidery building in Tunnei.
The Hailongtun chieftain site has distinct cultural characteristics in northern Guizhou, and it has witnessed ancient China as a unified multi-ethnic country and its unique management wisdom in multi-ethnic areas in the southwest. It is one of the five cultural business cards of Guizhou Province.
In addition to the chieftain ruins, Hailongtun Scenic Area is also equipped with Bozhou Chieftain City, which restores the prosperous commercial scene of the Ming Dynasty, for sightseeing experience. It only takes 20 minutes to take the "Hailongtun" environmental protection train from the tourist distribution center to the entrance of the Nianfang Bay scenic spot.
There is a multimedia interactive experience center in Tusi City, where visitors can get in touch with Tusi culture through the world's cutting-edge technology, participate in the "Battle of Pingbo", one of the three major campaigns in Wanli, and appreciate the legendary story of Yang's Tusi's 725-year regime.
Walking on the streets of Tusi City, you can see all kinds of Zunyi special snacks everywhere, which makes people feel like a big Duoji.
