Haizi Mountain is located between Litang County and Daocheng County, with an average altitude of 4,500 meters. It is the largest ancient ice body relic on the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau and is known as the "Daocheng Ancient Ice Cap". Haizi Mountain has a unique landscape, that is, stone rivers, stone seas, and ice-eroded lakes (haizi) of various shapes. There are 1,145 lakes of different sizes all over the mountain, shining like thousands of diamonds. Its density is so rare in the world that Haizi Mountain got its name from it.
