The core part of the hanging coffins of the Bo people is located in Matangba, southwest of Luobiao Town, Gongxian County, and Sumawan, on the north bank of the Dengjia River, Haitang Village, Caoying Township. There are 265 hanging coffins in total in the two places, which is the largest number of hanging coffins in China. more complete area. The hanging coffin is to hang the shrubs of the deceased on the cliffs, generally 10-50 meters above the ground, and the highest can reach 100 meters. There are usually many red painted murals on the cliff of the hanging coffin, which are rich in content, rough in lines, concise in composition and lifelike in image. Its exact meaning or even the purpose of the hanging coffin is not known.
