The theme of the Shiguan Gorge Suspended Wall Great Wall is the culture of the ancient Silk Road and the culture of the Great Wall. The main contents to visit in the scenic area include the hanging wall of the Great Wall, the "Silk Road" sculpture group, Jiayuguan ancient weapons exhibition, etc.
The scenic spot is divided into four functional areas, namely the Shiguan Gorge Ancient Silk Road Cultural Corridor Area, the Suspended Great Wall Military Defense System Area, the Leisure Resort Area, and the Management Area. The Shiguanxia Ancient Silk Road Cultural Corridor area runs through the entire scenic area, and there are "Silk Road" sculpture groups. The Suspended Great Wall military defense system area includes the Suspended Great Wall, Water Gate and ancient weapon exhibitions. The leisure and resort area is the green area on the north side of the Great Wall and the small square at the entrance of the scenic spot, where tourists are provided with leisure services such as barbecue, tea drinking, chess and card entertainment, and the sale of tourist souvenirs. The management area mainly refers to the tourism service facilities on the south side of the Great Wall, including management centers, public toilets, squares, parking lots, etc.
The "Silk Road" sculpture group is carved with statues of seven main historical figures Zhang Qian, Huo Qubing, Ban Chao, Xuanzang, Marco Polo, Lin Zexu and Zuo Zongtang recorded in Jiayuguan area in ancient China, as well as five attendants, two horses and two peaks The statues of camels and a carriage are used to show the long history and profound cultural connotation of Shiguan Gorge.
