Hanzhong Tiantai Forest Park was established in 1992 on the basis of the state-owned Wuxiang Forest Farm in Hanzhong City, 18 kilometers away from the famous city of Hanzhong. With a total operating area of 3,674 hectares, it governs four major scenic spots, Tiantai Mountain, Yagu Mountain, Taibai and Shiyan, and 108 scenic spots.
Tiantai Mountain is majestic and the top of the mountain is as flat as a platform, so it is called Tiantai. Known as the No. 1 mountain in southern Shaanxi, it integrates "strange, dangerous, ancient and beautiful". There are famous cultural and natural landscapes such as Feixian Lingya, Plum Blossom Ancient Stele, Qinquan Yazuo, Bitan Crypt, and Daiding scenery. Climbing to the main peak, Daiding, overlooking the green peak of Qinling Mountains in the north, and the Hanzhong Basin in the south, are refreshing; There are more than ten ancient buildings built in the Tang and Song Dynasties and flourished in the Ming and Qing Dynasties, extending for more than ten miles along the mountain, mainly including Lingguan Hall, Huangmaozui, Nantianmen, Yaowang Tower, Yongquan Temple, Doumu People from hundreds of miles around come to the palace for pilgrimage, and incense burns continuously all the year round. The literati and poets of the past dynasties, immortals, officials and gentry have left a lot of cultural heritage here. It has always been a pilgrimage resort in Hanzhong.
Tiantai Mountain is famous for its unique landscape. Yan Ruyu, a native of the Qing Dynasty, wrote a poem, "The cangcang stone peak stands steeply, and the dangerous road is on the old one. The eighteen sceneries of Tiantai are well-known, including: Zhuge’s Old Castle, Shiyan Exchange, Breathing Qiquan, Feixian Lingyan, Taiji God Picture, Zhangla Cave, Plum Blossom Ancient Monument, Sunny Day and Night Rain, Early Planting and Late Harvesting, Candle Pen Standing .
