Heishantou Ancient City is located 10 kilometers northwest of Heishantou Town, Erguna City. The ancient city is divided into an inner city and an outer city, and the walls are all made of earth. The ancient city is the site of the Liao Dynasty. According to the records of "Yuan History Translation Zhengbu·The Lineage of Taizu's Brothers" and Schlatter's "Historical Collection" and relevant experts' argumentation, during the Mongolian Khanate, the Ergun River Basin was Genghis Khan's younger brother Hasa Er's fief.

The remaining height of the city wall is 1-2 meters, and there is a moat outside the city wall. The bottom of the moat is 5-9 meters wide and 1-2 meters deep. There are gates on all sides, and the gate wall is 9-12 meters wide. There is an urn outside the gate, and there is a horse face every 100 meters outside the city wall. At the corner of the city wall, there are tall turrets protruding from the wall.

The inner city is located in the west and north of the outer city. It is rectangular in shape with a circumference of 560 meters. There are two small gates in the east and west, and there are moats outside the city. The whole building is in the shape of "Qian". The round granite column foundations are arranged in an orderly manner with a distance of 4 meters. There are fragments of glazed tiles, blue bricks, dragon pattern tiles and green glazed pots everywhere in the site.

On the north side of the west city of the outer city, there is a building with a square inside and a circle outside. The top of the outer wall is 2 meters wide, and there is a south gate with a width of 5 meters. In the northeast corner of the outer city, there is a sub-city and a well, which has collapsed; there are a series of small residential sites in the north wall of the outer city.
