When we came to the entrance of Hekou Village, Hekou Township, there was a wooden archway at the intersection, which was wrapped with colorful strips of cloth and fluttered in the wind. Walking along the village road, there are brick-concrete houses on both sides, and there are also ruins. When we arrived at the center of the village, a brand new Bell and Drum Tower made of blue bricks and green tiles appeared in front of us. At this moment, a trace of the afterglow of the ancient town came to my mind. This is Hekou Village - an ancient town with ancient and modern features. Many years ago, Hekou was an important port of the Yellow River's "Golden Waterway". Most of the long-distance transportation in the Northwest passed through here, unloading and loading at the ancient wharf of Hekou, and transporting various goods. The ancient wharf of Hekou Village has long since ceased to exist, and modern cement building materials occupy the entire ancient wharf of Hekou Village. In 2013, Hekou Village declared itself a National Historic and Cultural Village. Unfortunately, it lost its name to Sun Shan, but it has become a famous historical and cultural village in Gansu Province. At the same time, due to its profound historical and cultural heritage, Hekou Village, together with Jinchengguan, has become an important part of Lanzhou City's declaration of a national historical and cultural city. In this way, the desire to rebuild the ancient town of Hekou and protect the history and culture of Hekou will gradually become a reality. At the beginning of 2014, under the attention of governments at all levels, the planning plan for rebuilding Hekou Ancient Town was finalized after deliberation by many experts in tourism, history and planning. According to the planning plan, the reconstruction of Hekou Ancient Town mainly includes six aspects, namely reconstruction, protection, improvement, preservation, maintenance and restoration, and then restore the cultural relics and historic sites of Hekou Ancient Town, reflecting the cultural characteristics and historical features of the scenic spot.
