introduce
"Driving a long car, stepping through the gaps in Helan Mountain...", Helan Mountain is famous all over the world because of Yue Fei's "Man Jianghong". The eastern part of Helan Mountain is a semi-agricultural and semi-pastoral area, and the western part is a pure pastoral area.
In the eastern part of Helan Mountain (Ningxia part), there are rock paintings left by nomads thousands of years ago (Helan Mountain petroglyphs); there is also a forest park (Suyukou National Forest Park), which is rare in the arid areas of Northwest China, with endless trees. It is also a good place to enjoy the snow; there are also the remains of the ancient Xixia Pagodas (Twin Pagodas at Baisikou), the palace of Li Yuanhao, the founding emperor of Xixia (Rolling Bellkou), and the Great Wall of the Ming Dynasty (Sanguankou).
Most of the tourists from other provinces and cities first arrive in Yinchuan City, and then depart from Yinchuan City to various scenic spots in Helan Mountain, and usually return to Yinchuan City for accommodation on the same day.
The various scenic spots in Helan Mountain are far away from the downtown area of Yinchuan, and it usually takes a whole day to go back and forth plus play time (most tourists will choose 2-3 scenic spots). During the period from April to October every year, there is a tourist bus at Crescent Square in Yinchuan City every day, and you can only go there by chartered car at other times.
