Hengxian Museum is located in Haitang Historical and Cultural Park in the western suburbs of Hengxian County, which is beautiful and tree-lined. The site of the museum used to be the former site of Huaihai Academy, so the museum was named Huaihai Academy at the same time. The Hengxian Museum started construction in July 1991 and opened in May 1992. It is the first county-level museum in Nanning. The museum is an antique building with two and a half floors of reinforced concrete structure, covering an area of 1,800 square meters and a total construction area of 900 square meters. It is an important place for cultural relics collection, exhibition and scientific research in Hengxian County. The Hengxian Museum houses nearly a thousand pieces of precious cultural relics and specimens from the Neolithic Age to the Ming and Qing Dynasties, mainly including stone tools, mussel bone ware, ceramic ware, metal ware, jade ware, ethnic costumes, calligraphy and painting. Among them, there are 3 national first-class cultural relics, 16 second-class cultural relics, and 147 third-class cultural relics. The quality and quantity of cultural relics in the collection rank first among all counties in Nanning City. At present, the basic display in the museum is "Hengxian Historical Relics Exhibition", which exhibits various historical relics and national cultural relics unearthed, collected and collected in Hengxian County from the Neolithic Age to modern times, showing the long history of Hengxian County, Splendid culture and its achievements in politics, economy, science and culture.
