The former site of "Heping Village" is on the south side of Heping Street in Zhenyuan Acropolis, facing south to north, it is a group of buildings surrounded by tall earth and stone walls. The square wall of Heping Village is 66 meters wide and 78 meters deep. In the middle of the wall courtyard, there are 14 unit buildings such as Ligong building, auditorium, infirmary, confinement room, dumb room, Miku, kitchen and surveillance tower. This was originally the Zhongheng Yamen of the Zhenyuan General Military Department in the late Qing Dynasty. During the War of Resistance Against Japan, it became the second Japanese prisoner's shelter of the national government, which was used to accommodate and discipline Japanese prisoners of war. Japanese anti-war writer Lu Digen and others called it "Peace Village", so the name is still in use today.
