Hongdu Scenic Spot is located in Hongdu Village, Dawujiang Town, Yuqing County, on the edge of Wujiang River. In January 1935, the Chinese Workers' and Peasants' Red Army took the lead in breaking through the Wujiang River at the Huilong Ferry here and went north to Zunyi, so the village was named Hongdu. Hongdu Village has a beautiful environment and a pleasant climate. It is surrounded by mountains and has beautiful mountain scenery in northern Guizhou.
Hongdu is named after the Red Army, but it is famous for its terraced fields. The magnificent Hongdu Terraced Fields is the core landscape of Hongdu Scenic Area. There are more than 2,000 acres of terraced fields with layers of layers and scattered heights. They are distributed between 300-900 meters above sea level. The scenery changes with the seasons. The view corridor can have a panoramic view of the beautiful scenery of the terraced fields.
