Hongfu Temple is located on Qianling Mountain in Guiyang. It was built in 1672. It is a famous Buddhist temple in Guiyang and is known as "the first temple in Guizhou". In Hongfu Temple, there are ancient relics such as Moyan carvings, the ancient Buddha cave where Xu Xiake visited, and the pagoda forest of ancient elders. The temple itself is known for praying for blessings, so incense is very strong. Hongfu Temple was built in the 11th year of Kangxi in the Qing Dynasty. It was created by the monk Chisong. The whole temple is located in the center of the peaks of Qianling Mountain. Although Hongfu Temple is not large, the layout of the temple is rigorous, the building is majestic, and because it is hidden in a green area, it looks full of ancient style.
There are many ancient relics in the temple, including the nine winding paths opened by Chisong monks, Moyan carvings, ancient Buddha caves, and the pagoda forest of elders of past dynasties. In the bell tower of the temple, there is a bronze bell weighing more than 3,000 jin, which was cast in the fifth year of Chenghua in the Ming Dynasty (1469). It was originally in Daxing Temple in the city and was moved here in 1980.
