The Hongguangshan Great Buddha Temple is located in Hongguang Mountain near Kaziwan in the north of Urumqi. The Hongguangshan Great Buddha Temple complex was built in 2002 and completed in 2010. It is a Chinese Buddhist temple in Northwest China.


The gate of the Great Buddha Temple is 17 meters wide and 15.6 meters high. It is tall and majestic. On the front is "Jueshi Daci" inscribed by Zhang Cang, vice chairman of Xinjiang Calligraphers Association, and on the back is "Compassion to the World" inscribed by calligrapher Min Yinnan. The Shakyamuni Buddha in Hongguang Mountain was built on July 19, 2002, and was completed at the end of 2004. It took two years. The Buddha statue is 40.8 meters high, 14 meters in diameter, 5.7 meters high in the Buddha's hands, and 2.6 meters high in the Buddha's ears.

Behind the golden statue of Sakyamuni is a group of buildings, covering an area of ​​about 30,000 square meters. The temple sits east to west, mainly including the Daxiong Hall, the Hall of Five Hundred Arhats, the Hall of Thousand-Handed Guanyin, the Hall of Dizang, and the Bell and Drum Tower. , Wing rooms, etc., the architectural style is roughly the same as that of Chinese Buddhist temples in the Mainland.
