Hongmao Harbor is located at the mouth of Xinfeng Creek in Xinfeng Township, Hsinchu. It has a considerable area of mangrove forests and is a purely ecological tourist attraction. The Hongmaogang Recreation Area has facilities such as arch bridges across the north and south banks, log plank roads, viewing pavilions, etc. Visitors can watch mangroves, seabirds, shrimps and crabs in depth, and climb up to the viewing tower at dusk to enjoy the beautiful sunset .
