The meeting site is located in Songjiawan, Xiasi Village, west of Houchang Town (formerly Caotang Town), covering an area of about 6,667 square meters. It was originally the private residence of Caotang businessman Song Zesheng (nickname Song Xiaoan). The building was built in 1912. It is a wooden structure courtyard integrating Tibetan style and local dwellings, commonly known as "One Seal". There are 5 main halls, 3 lower halls and 3 side rooms. There is a stone-inlaid patio in the middle, surrounded by brick barrel walls, and the barrel walls are about 6 meters high. In 1948, Song Zesheng and his brother-in-law Wu Dianshan sold out the house due to industrial disputes. In 2003, under the great attention of the central government, the province, the state, and the Weng'an County Party Committee and the county government, some components were taken back and restored on the original site. In 2004, the exhibition was completed and officially opened to the public. In 2006, it was announced as a provincial key cultural relics protection unit In 2009, it was announced as a national patriotic education demonstration base and implemented free of charge. The six characters "Houchang Conference Site" above the gate of the meeting site were inscribed in 2001 by Zhang Aiping, the founding general and former Minister of National Defense.
