The Huaguoshan Grottoes are located in Shuilian Village, Chengguan Town, Bin County. During the Southern and Northern Dynasties, the local people dug many caves on the cliff to escape soldiers and bandits. In the early years of the Tang Dynasty, people dug a stone nest the size of a lamp head around the Jiuqu Eighteen Caves, which could hold a bowl of clear oil. Every year on the night of the Lantern Festival, the lantern lighting ceremony reaches its climax, and the Huaguo Mountain is brightly lit. Today, this activity still exists.
