The mosque is located in the alleys of Huimin Street. It was first built in the Tang Dynasty and rebuilt in the Qing Dynasty. It adopts the Chinese classical architectural style, with cornices, pavilions and pavilions everywhere. On the many wooden doors and brick walls in the temple, you can see many wood carvings and brick carvings, using the three-dimensional technique of Islamic art style to depict Chinese-style flower and plant patterns.

The area of ​​the mosque is small, and the layout is also a traditional Chinese axisymmetric courtyard style. Tourists can walk along the central axis to the front, which is very easy. The screen wall in the temple is the starting point of the central axis. Along the central axis, there are wooden archway, five buildings (two gates), stone archway, imperial repair hall (three gates), Shengxin Building, Lian Sanmen (four gates), Main buildings such as the Phoenix Pavilion, the platform, and the worship hall.

The worship hall is a very important building in the temple, and it is also a place for worship of the nearby Muslims. The main hall has a peacock blue glazed tile roof, and the ceiling caisson color painting in the hall is very exquisite. There are also 30 wooden carvings of the Koran about 4 meters high in the hall. Unfortunately, non-Muslims and women are not allowed to enter the worship hall, and the vast majority of tourists can only look inward at the entrance of the hall.

Around the stone memorial archway is a stone stele with the words "Taoism towering heaven and earth" written in the handwriting of Song Dynasty calligrapher Mi Fu; there is a horizontal plaque on the door of the Chixiu Hall, which is written by Ming Dynasty calligrapher Dong Qichang. All calligraphy lovers can't miss it.
