introduce

Keishuin was founded in 1917. Its predecessor was the "Yoshinofu Gyosho" of the Kono School of Shingon Buddhism in Japan. It was renamed Keishuin in 1945. Eighty-eight Buddha statues with historical value are placed in the courtyard.

As with all Japanese temples, wash your hands before entering. The first building to enter is the shrine, and you must take off your shoes when entering. Please do not enter with shoes on.
