Huanglian River Scenic Area is located in Daguan County, Zhaotong City, with waterfall landscape as the main body, integrating natural landscapes such as canyons, karst caves, virgin forests, bamboo seas, mountaintop reservoirs, geological and historical relics, rare animals and plants, ancient tombs, prehistoric relics, and ethnic customs. It is a multifunctional scenic spot for tourism, recuperation, mountaineering and cliff climbing, scientific investigation and various entertainment activities.
The entire scenic area is divided into four areas:
1. Huanglianhe Area: Located 5.5 kilometers southeast of Daguan County, there are cloudy peaks, mountains, forests and bamboo seas, wonders of karst caves, and Miao Village customs. There are also 47 waterfalls of various shapes. The main attractions are: Antiphonal Waterfall, Double Waterfall Welcome, Reunion Waterfall, Pearl Curtain Waterfall, Water Stage, Yuelao Waterfall and Yuanyang Waterfall, Water Curtain Promenade, Big Skateboard, Girl Waterfall, Lover Waterfall, White Elephant Cave, etc. There are guest houses, restaurants, passenger transport, tour guides and other comprehensive supporting service facilities in the scenic area.
2. Shanggaoqiao area: 35 kilometers away from Daguan County, 44 kilometers away from Zhaotong City, with natural landscapes and rare plants as the main tourist objects. Stone forests, karst caves, high bridge canyons, rare plants and other natural landscapes in the area. It can be said that it is a comprehensive scenic spot compatible with mountains, water, stones and trees. The main scenic spots are Bamboo Shadows on the beach, Gaoqiao Shigu, Yixiantian, Feihua Waterfall, Laokongwan Sea of Clouds, Xiaobiao Water Rock, Dabiao Water Rock, Qinglong Cave Cave Group, Stone Forest, etc.
3. Luohanba area: 53 kilometers away from Daguan County, with beautiful scenery, but it has not yet been developed.
4. Yuntai Sightseeing Line: Centered on Yuntai Mountain Gorge, it starts from Yuwan Township in the south and ends at Huangjingba in the north. It is located along the Kunshui Highway, with a total length of 50 kilometers. Along the way, there are towering mountains, strange peaks, deep canyons, and more than 20 large and small waterfalls. There are also ten scenic spots including the dangerous Qin and Han ancient roads, Ming and Qing ancient roads, and Eastern Han rock tombs.
