Huangqihai Nature Reserve is located in Ulanqab City, belonging to Baihaizi Town, Roseying Town, Bayintala Town, Tugui Wula Town and Ulaha Township of Chayouqian Banner, with a total area of 36,823 hectares. The main protection objects in the reserve are tidal wetland ecosystems around Huangqihai, as well as the rare birds and various creatures that inhabit the wetlands. The inland lake in Huangqihai Nature Reserve - "Huangqihai" is one of the three major inland lakes in western Inner Mongolia, one of the areas with richer wetland biodiversity in western Inner Mongolia, and an important distribution center for wetland bird migration.
