Huating Temple is located on the hillside of Huating Mountain, Xishan, Kunming City. It can be traced back to the era of Dali Kingdom. According to legend, Gao Xian, a descendant of Shanchan Hou Gao Zhisheng, named this mountain Huating, and it has been the place where the Gao family has banquets since then. The hall of Huating Temple is divided into three floors, with a grand scale and a rigorous layout. It leans on the reclining Buddha and Taihua Mountain on the left, the jade table and Biyao on the right, and faces Dianchi Lake in front. Standing in front of the temple and looking as far as the eye can see, you can see all the surrounding mountains and ridges; whenever the sky is clear, the water and the sky are the same color, and the vast expanse of green lake reflects the peaks by the lake more majestic and beautiful.
