Huludao is located in Yuli County, Bayingolin Mongol Autonomous Prefecture. It is a bend of the Tarim River that crosses the desert and is seen from the air at a bend in the lower reaches. It is named for its waters that look like a gourd. The desert, water, and Populus euphratica coexist here, and it is a golden pearl hidden deep in the desert.
Huludao's Populus euphratica and the lake lie quietly in the arms of the desert. In late autumn, a night of cold dew will suddenly turn all the Populus euphratica trees by the lake and in the desert yellow. Taoyuan Wonderland.
