introduce
Iron Man Wang Jinxi is an ordinary drilling worker in Daqing Oilfield, but he moved the whole of China with his simple and dedicated spirit. He used his body to stir the mud to block the blowout, thus he was praised as "Iron Man". Wang Jinxi's life was short. He left us at the age of 47 because of stomach cancer, but the people of Daqing built a memorial hall for Wang Jinxi to commemorate this model. The memorial hall is located near Iron Man Square in Daqing City, and the new hall was established in 2006.
The architectural shape of the memorial hall is very meaningful. Looking down from the sky, it looks like a Chinese character for "工", and when viewed from a distance, it looks like a Chinese character for "人", which vividly proves that this is a pavilion to honor workers. In addition, there are several numbers in the exhibition hall that also have their own symbols. There are 47 steps leading to the exhibition hall, and the total height of the new building is 47 meters, which implies the extraordinary life written by Wang Jinxi in 47 years. The pavilion uses a variety of means to show the glorious deeds of Iron Man. You can watch documentaries, real photos, text exhibitions and sand table displays here, and learn about Wang Jinxi and the struggle history of China's oil industry from many aspects.
