The Yuhuang Pavilion was first built in the Hongwu period of the Ming Dynasty. It has a history of more than 600 years. It is a traditional wooden structure with a large roof and a compact structure with overlapping eaves. Because the statue of the Jade Emperor is cast inside, it is called the Jade Emperor Pavilion.

The main pavilion of Yuhuang Pavilion is a two-story attic with double eaves. The height of the pavilion is about 22.1 meters. The Yuhuang Pavilion and the Drum Tower reflect each other from a distance, which has a special charm. Climbing to the top of the pavilion, you can lean on the railing to overlook the majestic Helan Mountain in the west and the rolling Yellow River in the east.
