Jiadengyu is located in the middle of the Kanas Lake Scenic Area and the south side of the Hemu Scenic Area in northern Xinjiang. It is a village where Kazakh herdsmen live together in summer. It is also the gateway to the Kanas Lake Scenic Area and the Hemu Scenic Area. Scenic spots have to pass through here. The gate of Kanas Scenic Area is next to Jiadengyu Village, and the starting point of the shuttle bus and hiking route entering Hemu is also here, so it has become a fun place for tourists to visit northern Xinjiang.

Jiadengyu is on a plain between two mountains. From May to October every summer, more than one hundred herdsmen’s yurts form a huge circle on the plain, forming a village with herdsmen’s characteristics. In recent years, some European-style buildings have been built next to the village near the foot of the mountain, forming a beautiful fairy tale world with the surrounding hills and forests. And every autumn, the leaves here will turn yellow. Although there are no cabins, the scenery is not inferior to Hemu Village and Kanastuwa Village in the scenic spot. Walking on the lawn in the village, watching the simple life of the Kazakh herdsmen, and taking pictures of the beautiful scenery around them is very good.

Jiadengyu is also the starting point of the hiking route to Hemu. The hiking route from Jiadengyu to Hemu is currently one of the popular and recognized beautiful hiking routes in China. The hiking route is about 30 kilometers long, and it takes about 10 hours on foot. It usually arrives in one day. There are many teams on the road, so there is no need to ask for a guide. All the way along the Hemu River, the grasslands, forests, and hills appear alternately on both sides, and the scenery is very beautiful.
