Jingying Temple is located in Jiaozuo, Henan Province. It was first built during the Southern and Northern Dynasties. It was called Xiangu Temple and Jingjing Temple in ancient times. This is the place where Huiyuan, the great ancestor of interpretation in the history of Buddhism in my country and the first ancestor of the Pure Land Sect, learned the Dharma as a monk and returned to his bones. Since then, many eminent monks practiced here in the past dynasties. The painter Jing Hao in the Five Dynasties, the poet Yuan Haowen in the Jin Dynasty and the writer Zhao Bingwen also lived in seclusion here. Jingying Temple has been rebuilt and expanded for thousands of years. In its heyday, there were more than 200 monks living there. The existing temple was built in the late Qing Dynasty. There are seven front halls, seven main halls and three east and west halls, all of which are two-story brick, stone and wood mixed buildings.
