Jinbi Park is the first park in old Kunming, and the site is now Jinbi Road Provincial First People's Hospital. It got its name because of the Golden Horse and Jade Rooster nearby; and because there was only one park at that time, people just called it "Park" for short.
The gate of Jinbi Park faces north and opens on Jinbi Road. There is a fountain at the entrance, behind the pool there is a fake stone mountain, and behind the stone mountain is a big screen wall. Bypassing the screen wall, there is a large plum forest. There is a large flower bed in the center of the plum garden. There are small pavilions on each side of the flower bed, which are called "cloak", "Yanyue", "Huayu" and "Wangyun". To the east of the Plum Garden is the Pear Garden. From the Pear Garden to the south, along the east wall of the park, there are Huahong Garden, Jujube Garden, Chrysanthemum Garden, Apple Garden and Botanical Garden. Just south of the plum garden is the central architectural commodity exhibition center of the park. To the east of the exhibition hall are the Mineral Products Hall and the Agriculture and Forestry Hall. In the center of the square to the south of the exhibition hall stands a bronze statue of Mr. Yang Zhenhong, a martyr of the 1911 Revolution from Kunming. To the south of the bronze statue is a pond. There are two small islands in the pond, both of which are connected to the land by bridges. There is also a small pavilion on the island. The whole park has verdant trees and gorgeous flowers. The ponds, pavilions, kiosks, rockeries, flower beds and bronze statues are well arranged and well arranged. It was a good place for Kunming people to play and relax.
