Jingdong Confucian Temple is located at the foot of Yuping Mountain in the west of Jingdong County. It was built in the 21st year of Emperor Kangxi of the Qing Dynasty (AD 1682) and is a provincial-level cultural relic protection unit.

The ancient architectural complex of Confucian Temple consists of Panchi, Xiege, Bell and Drum Tower, Lingxing Gate, Dacheng Hall, Dacheng Gate, etc., with a total area of ​​5292 square meters. The main building, Dacheng Hall, is a single-eave Xieshan-top beam-lifting building with 5 rooms of 20.7 meters in width and 5 rooms in depth of 14.95 meters. There are 28 bucket arches under the eaves, the main ridge is set on the top of the treasure, kissing animals, etc., the building accessories are carved with dragons and phoenixes, and the paintings are gorgeous. The two golden pillars pasted with dragons are ingenious and exquisite in craftsmanship. The overall building is solemn and magnificent, but also simple and elegant. It is one of the relatively well-preserved ancient buildings in southwestern Yunnan.
