Jingziguan Ancient Town is located on the right bank of Danjiang River in Xichuan County, Nanyang City. Because it is located at the junction of Henan, Hubei, and Shaanxi provinces, the ancient town has the titles of "three provinces with one foot" and "Jingziguan with three provinces". Jingziguan Town has a history of more than 2,000 years. It was formed in the Tang Dynasty and flourished in the Ming and Qing Dynasties. It is a famous historical and cultural town in China. The main existing Ming and Qing buildings in the ancient town include: Jingziguan Ancient Street, Guanmen, Shanshan Guild Hall, Yuwang Palace, Pinglang Palace, Longevity Palace, Stele Pavilion of Three Provinces with one foot, etc. When tourists come here, they can stroll around the old streets, taste the old buildings, and experience the fun of "stepping into three provinces with one foot".
At the southern end of the ancient town, you can see an "ancient gate". The gate is a masonry structure with an arch in the middle. After entering the ancient town, tourists can first visit the ancient streets of Jingziguan. Many scenic spots in the ancient town are also located beside or around the ancient streets. There is a long street in the ancient town, running north-south, about 2.5 kilometers long. The ground is paved with bluestone, and there are hundreds of old-fashioned "wooden door" shops on both sides. A two-meter-long fire-sealing hard gable separates them.
On the east side of the South Street of the ancient town, there is a Pinglang Palace built in the Qing Dynasty. During the prosperous period of the wharf outside the ancient town, ship merchants formed a boat gang, taking the meaning of "calm and calm", and prepared to build the Pinglang Palace. As a place for entertainment, there are still buildings such as the Bell and Drum Tower, the nave, and the apse in the palace. Tourists can pay more attention to the Bell and Drum Tower. There are orbs and Tasha on the top of the tower, on which are written the words "Feng Tiao Yu Shun".
On the east side of the ancient street in the ancient town, tourists can also go to the Shanshan Guild Hall and the Jade Emperor Palace on the east side. Founded in the Daoguang period of the Qing Dynasty, the Shanshan Guild Hall is a relatively large ancient building complex in the ancient town. It still preserves old buildings such as the gate building, the theater building, the corridor building, the bell tower, and the Spring and Autumn Pavilion (middle hall). The stone and wood carvings of lions and Jiangmei are all worthy of careful evaluation, especially the vivid wood carvings such as "Kirin Looking at the Big Dipper", "Danfeng Chaoyang", and "Picture of Martial Arts Practice", which are especially unique. The Jade Palace, also known as the Yuwang Palace, was built in the Qing Dynasty and was specially built for Yuwang, who had made great contributions to water control.
In addition, there are Ming and Qing ancient buildings such as Longevity Palace in the ancient town that you can visit. On the outskirts of the ancient town, tourists can go to the Fahai Temple in the Monkey Mountain in the northeast. The ancient temple was first built in the Tang Dynasty and was repaired many times in the Qing Dynasty. The ancient town is located at the junction of three provinces. In the middle of Bailang Street in the west of the ancient town, there is a small triangular marble tower stele - "Three Provinces Monument with One Foot", where tourists can step into the three provinces of Henan, Hubei and Shaanxi.
