Jinji Ancient Town is located in the northeast of Baoshan City. It is the throat area where the Bonan Ancient Road enters Baoshan after crossing the Lancang River. According to legend, it is the hometown of Lu Kai, the descendant of Lu Buwei, the prime minister of the Qin Dynasty.
The area of Jinji Ancient Town is small. There are two main roads in the town, which intersect in a Y shape in the center of the ancient town. The residents of the ancient town are simple and honest, and there are many cultural relics and historic sites. The main attractions include the Neolithic site and the site of the Eastern Han Dynasty, Jinji Hot Spring, Lugong Temple, Jinji Temple, Woniu Temple, and the ancient stage. It is a famous historical ancient town in western Yunnan.
