Jinyang Lake is located in Jinsheng Town at the southern end of Taiyuan City, Shanxi Province. It is adjacent to the Jinci complex line in the east, Taiyuan No. 1 Thermal Power Plant, the largest in Shanxi Province in the west, and the historic Kujin Yangcheng and the famous Jinci tourist attraction in the south. In the early days of the founding of the People's Republic of China, a power plant reservoir was excavated manually, and has now been developed into a tourist attraction. It is the largest artificial lake in North China, and its vast lake is comparable to Hangzhou West Lake. The area around Jinyang Lake has vast land, convenient transportation, rippling lake surface, shaded willows on the shore, complete facilities for water entertainment such as yachts, motorboats, fishing, swimming, etc., and many catering and accommodation services, making it an ideal tourist resort.
