The site is located in Xincheng District, Linyou County, Baoji City. It is located on Tiantai Mountain in the north of Dushui, Shijiu Mountain in the south, and Bicheng Mountain in the north. It belongs to the hilly and gully area of the Weibei Plateau, with an altitude of nearly 1,100 meters. There is no extreme heat in summer, and the climate is cool and pleasant.
It was built in the thirteenth year of Emperor Wen of the Sui Dynasty (593), and it was named "Ren Shou Palace" at the beginning, which was the departure palace of Emperor Wen of Sui Dynasty. It was expanded in the fifth year of Zhenguan (631) of Emperor Taizong of Tang Dynasty. During Emperor Gaozong of the Tang Dynasty, it was once renamed "Wannian Palace", which means Yihe Wanshou, and later restored its original name. The magnificent buildings in the Sui and Tang Dynasties, with more than 1,800 steps around the wall, have built large palaces such as Yanfu, Paiyun, Yurong, Xianheng, Daquan, Yong'an, and Danxiao. Now there are Fengtai, Tang Wang Dianjiangtai, dressing table, Liquan, Tangjing, Guanping and other sites.
