Jiuluzhai Ecotourism Area is located in the southwestern border of Baokang County, Hubei Province. The planning and construction area of Jiuluzhai Ecotourism Area is more than 60 square kilometers, and the protected area is more than 170 square kilometers. The core scenic spot Jiuluzhai is surrounded by Zhankou River and Tangping River. Surrounded by 6 rivers including Nanmen River, Bawang River and Luoguzhai River, it is named after cliffs on three sides and one side connected to the outside.
Jiuluzhai is also an important birthplace of Chu culture, where the traditional customs of Chu ancestors are mostly preserved. At present, the large-scale pre-Chu song and dance drama "Jingshan Chuyuan" has become an important symbol of the "Chu Origin" culture, and its performances across the country have aroused great repercussions and rave reviews. Local traditional folk arts such as shadow puppetry, jushui witch sound, dragon lantern and flower drum have formed their unique and profound cultural and folk customs.
