From the ancient city of Lijiang all the way to the north, through the Dongba Valley, into the depths of the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, turning eastward and winding for seven or eight kilometers, in a basin among the high mountains, the Jiuzihai appears bright and green in front of you. There are nine small lakes on the meadow, and the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, which never melts all year round, is lined up like a screen, which can be seen at a glance. From May to November every year, the wild flowers all over the mountains are in full bloom, becoming a veritable sea of flowers. There are many varieties of these flowers. Those that bloomed white last month turned yellow next month, and some changed several colors. Several generations in the village have long felt very strange about the various phenomena in this dam, but no one has ever explained these mysterious natural phenomena.

Few tourists enter Jiuzihai, and the road is very difficult to walk, so it is only suitable for off-road or on foot. It takes 2 hours to hike. After Jiuzihai comes out, walk from the foot of Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, and you can come back from Baisha and Yuhu. Jiuzihai has a strong seasonality, and the scenery is very good from May to November every year. Except for these months, there are no flowers or grass at other times, so it is not interesting.
