Juma River is the only river in Hebei Province that lasts all year round. It is one of the five major water systems in Beijing and a tributary of Daqing River. Originated at the foot of Taihang Mountain in the northwest of Laiyuan County, Hebei Province, it enters the city boundary of Taogang Village, Shidu Town, Fangshan District, Beijing, and flows through Shidu Scenic Area, Zhangfang Town, and Nanshangle Township. In Zhangfang Village, Zhangfang Town, it is divided into two branches, the north and the south. The north branch is the North Juma River, which flows through Nanshangle Township, exits the city in the east of Erhezhuang Village, and is called Baigou River below Dongci Village. It joins the Nanjuma River in Baigou Town and enters the Daqing River.

It is better to travel to Juma River in spring, summer and autumn. In spring, the glaciers melt, and the grass grows and warblers fly; in summer, it is colorful, and you can go rafting on the Juma River; in autumn, the air is refreshing, and the mountains are full of red leaves. In addition, the Juma River does not freeze in winter, which is rare in the north.
