The South Bridge is located 25 kilometers south of Kaiyuan City and crosses the Lujiang River. It was called Bingquan Bridge in ancient times because there was a spring in the west of the bridge. The South Bridge is a three-hole stone arch bridge with a total length of 61 meters. It was built in the eleventh year of Shunzhi (1654) of the Qing Dynasty and completed in the fifty-eighth year of Qianlong (1793). It is an important bridge from Kaiyuan to the frontier. It was announced as a cultural relic protection unit in Kaiyuan City in 1983.
