"Keke Salt Lake" means cyan salt lake in Mongolian. The lake is 3010 meters above sea level, about 28 kilometers long from east to west, narrow from north to south, and covers an area of 119 square kilometers. The water of the lake is sodium-salt type, gradually drying up, and now there are only small areas of water at the east and west ends. The source of intercrystalline brine is the spring water overflowing from the sand and gravel layer on the sloped plain in the front of the mountain and then meets the clay layer at its front edge, with more than 665 spring holes. The salt reserves are large, about 7.5 million tons per square kilometer, which is convenient for open-pit mining and has strong regeneration capacity. Keke Salt Factory has been built for mining.
