The full name of Geerdi Temple is Dacang Namo Geerdi Temple. It is located in Ruoergai County, close to Langmusi Town. It is one of the two well-known temples in Langmusi Town. It has 18 branch temples. Large and influential Gelugpa monastery. Dacang Namo means tiger's den fairy in Tibetan. "Tiger Cave Fairy" is a famous landscape in Langmusi Town, located in the karst cave at the source of Bailong River. It is said that there is a tiger inside. It was tamed by Master Rinpoche when he came here to subdue demons and turned the tiger into a fairy. At the higher part of the cave, there is a stalactite that looks like a goddess. The local Tibetans regard it as a god, and they often come to kowtow and kneel to pray for peace. The Gerdi Monastery is well-known in Tibetan areas, because the temple enshrines the spiritual pagoda of the fifth living Buddha of the monastery, Gerdi. The fifth Geerdi Living Buddha was born in 1681 and passed away in 1775. The spiritual pagoda of his body is enshrined in a small courtyard on the top of the mountain, and its appearance is very plain, just like the courtyard of an ordinary residential house. There were people worshiping at the gate of the courtyard, and there were many people praying in the courtyard.
