Kunming Old Street

If there is Kuanzhai Alley in Chengdu and Xintiandi in Shanghai, then there is Kunming Old Street in Kunming. Kunming Old Street is one of the few block projects in China that uses the entire block as a unified place name. Among the architectural complexes of Kunming Old Street, the oldest ones have a history of nearly 900 years. These buildings carry too many memories and stories of the city, and at the same time, they also carry too much childhood joy and current life interest of contemporary people. Guanghua Street, Kunming Old Street, starts from Zhengyi Road in the east and ends at Wuyi Road in the west, with a total length of 435 meters. It is the only old street in Kunming with the ancient style of Kunming. On today's Guanghua Street, you can eat authentic rice noodles in a small pot, find eccentric Yunnan antiques, and find pharmacies with a history of hundreds of years. Guanghua Street embraces Kunming's past and present with its mottled and simple mind. As early as 1983, Kunming Old Street Yongdao Street had the earliest flower and bird market in Kunming. With the passage of time, the merchants who built iron sheds on Yongdao Street and sold flowers, birds, fish and insects expanded outward one after another after making a lot of money, forming the Jingxing Jewelry Flowers and Birds Market one after another. In addition, these small businesses that represent the characteristics of the city's market even extend to Guanghua Street and Wenming Street.
