The cloud ladder is in the north of Zhongfeng. It was built in 1984. It is a shortcut from Yinfeng Pavilion to Dongfeng via Dongshilou Peak. It has become a new dangerous road in Huashan.
The ladder is more than ten meters high, vertical to the ground at an angle of 90 degrees, and the middle and upper parts protrude outwards, showing the tendency of falling into a cliff. There are three suspension cables on the ladder, and the tourists can't get close to the cliff when they pull the cables, so they swing with the cables, and their hearts are swaying, just like clouds riding on fog, hence the name Cloud Ladder. The opening of the ladder not only shortens the time from the middle peak to the east peak, but also increases the interest of tourists to take risks. Since its opening, many tourists are willing to climb here and try their skills.
There is a metal artificial staircase next to the ladder, which is convenient for tourists to go up and down.

Climbing here requires good arm strength, because the cliff in the middle section has a faint tendency of more than 90 degrees, and it is not easy to use force on the legs and feet, so the climb mainly relies on the strength of the arms. If you want to give up climbing in the middle, it will be more difficult to go down the same path, and you have to work hard to climb to the top.
