Yangmei Ancient Village Scenic Spot is located in Shiqiao Village and Huangbai Village, Sanhu Township. The ancient salt road in Huangbai Village has a long history and profound heritage. There are more than 10 kilometers of well-preserved ancient salt roads in Huangbaiyuan Village. The starting point of the Sichuan-Hubei Ancient Salt Road is Xituo Town, a "famous historical and cultural town in China" along the Yangtze River. It passes through Enshi, Lichuan, and Laifeng. It was the route for transporting daily necessities such as salt in the Wuling area during the Ming and Qing Dynasties.
On both sides of the ancient salt road are ancient villages, ancient temples, ancient tombs, and ancient theaters, with a long history and unique scenery. There are three ancient courtyards in the center of Huangbaiyuan Village, which are antique and fragrant, and are closely connected with Tujia stilted buildings and ancient theaters. They are unique creations of Huangbaiyuan Villagers.
