Lama Mountain Scenic Area is located 28 kilometers northwest of Fengning County, and is the only place to go to the first grassland in northern Beijing. There are 28 large and small pinnacles in the scenic area. Looking up, the main peak looks like a lama reciting sutras and meditating facing the wall, hence the name.
The precipitous cliffs on the mountain tower straight into the sky, where the mist passes, the scenery is ethereal, appearing and disappearing from time to time, just like illusion. The main peak is 1198 meters above sea level, and there are many cliffs inside. Looking from a distance, it looks like a crenel, a fort, and a lot of pillar peaks, cliffs, Zen caves, strange rocks, pommel horse stone carvings, just like a mountain gallery. There are many lama Buddha statues on the rock paintings, 3.12 meters high and 2.72 meters wide. The Buddha statues step on lotus flowers, and the Buddha's light is painted on the back, which is still bright and dazzling after more than 300 years. The Buddha statue is afraid of being engraved with Manchu and Chinese characters. There is a brick pagoda downstream of the statue, commonly known as the Lama Tomb. There are Lama caves on the stone wall. The springs below the mountain are splashing, the falling flowers are colorful, the Yalu River flows by the mountains, the clear water stretches to the sky, and the strange peaks and beautiful waters.
Lama Mountain has many scenic spots, charming scenery and complete changes, commonly known as Shili Gallery. In addition to Fozhu Cave, Bingjiu Park, Ganlu Temple, and Dajue Temple, there are mainly cliff statues, saddle stones, god-cut stones, knife-cut stones, Zhenshanyin, Nine Girls Peak, and Cave Mountain.
