Xinhua Earth Forest is located in Xinhua Township, 33 kilometers west of Yuanmou County, Chuxiong Prefecture. The total area of the scenic spot is 8 square kilometers, and it is an important scenic spot of Yuanmou earth forest landscape. The soil pillars of Xinhua soil forest are tall and dense, with a complete range of types. The conical soil forest is well developed, generally 3-27 meters high, and as high as 42.8 meters, ranking the highest in Yuanmou soil forest. The Xinhua soil forest is rich in color. The top of the soil column is mainly purple, the middle part is off-white, and the lower part is based on yellow, which is mixed with brown red, off-white, brown-yellow, gray-black and other colors. The soil pillars have different shapes, such as cone, peak cluster, snow peak, city wall and so on. Looking at Xinhua Earth Forest from a distance, it looks like gorgeous palaces; entering the scenic spot, it's like being in the gallery of an ancient castle. There are several reservoirs of different sizes distributed around the Xinhua soil forest. Among them, the Langbapu Reservoir is as clear as a mirror, and the soil forest is reflected in it, which is picturesque. There are several gurgling streams in the soil forest, so the vegetation is good. Bamboo, pine trees, shrubs, flowers and plants are dotted among the soil pillars and peaks, and small animals such as hares and birds can also be seen.
