Langmatai Mingyue Temple is located in the northwest corner of Langmatai Village, Langmatai Township, on the earthen platform of the Langmatai ruins. It was first built in the Tang Dynasty (642-712), destroyed in the Five Dynasties, rebuilt in the Song Dynasty, destroyed in the Jin and Yuan Dynasties, rebuilt in Qianjia, and destroyed in the Cultural Revolution. For more than a thousand years, three constructions and three wastes. From the Five Dynasties period to the Qianlong period of the Qing Dynasty, Mingyue Temple was destroyed many times, and only the ancient cypresses and "Mingyue Temple Stone Stele" remained. As for the origin of the name "Langmatai", it is said that it has something to do with Yang Liulang's resistance to the Liao Dynasty and the protection of the country. In the Song Dynasty, Baigou River was the dividing line between Song and Liao. Yang Liulang was ordered to guard the border to resist the invasion of Liao soldiers. In 1992, the People's Government of Rongcheng County applied to the District Administrative Office for restoration and opening of Mingyue Temple. Mr. Tang Yu introduced funds to rebuild the Daxiong Palace, which was completed in 1996. At present, many buildings in the whole temple are still being repaired and have not been fully completed.
