The botanical garden started to be built on the basis of Shijiawan Nursery in Lanzhou City in 1993. It has 46 acres of artificial lakes, Chinese pine forest leisure areas, special restaurants, cultural activity rooms and conference halls. There are more than 100 species of trees in the park, including ginkgo, metasequoia, fir, Eucommia and other rare plant species.
The flower greenhouse in the botanical garden covers an area of more than 7,000 square meters, cultivating more than 100 varieties of flowers and plants, and more than 50 varieties of indoor ornamental flowers. It is the main flower research and cultivation base in Lanzhou City. At the same time, two special botanical gardens, Lily Garden and Perennial Flower Garden, were built on the shore of the artificial lake.
The botanical garden has pleasant scenery, lake light and tree shadows, birds singing and flowers scenting, flowers bloom continuously in spring, summer and autumn, and the seedling base is lush and shaded, making it a rare leisure place in the suburbs.
